Toronto, Canada-based Breakthrough Films & Television has bolstered its executive ranks with an appointment and three promotions.

Alethea Robinson has been hired as manager of marketing and communications. Amy Marcella, meanwhile, has been promoted to supervising producer, with Stepanie van Bruggen and Paul Nash getting bumped up to supervising producer and art director roles, respectively.

Robinson will oversee the company’s corporate branding and marketing strategy, as well as promotion and publicity for Breakthrough’s various TV and licensed properties. She steps over from another Toronto-based prodco, Decode Entertainment, where she worked in the marketing and communications department.

Marcella’s new remit includes looking after Breakthrough’s slate of live-action productions, with Van Bruggen taking the same role on the animated side, working on projects such as Captain Flamingo and new toon Jimmy Two Shoes.
