PBS Parents and women’s digital brand iVillage are together launching the PBS KIDS Summer Reading Challenge, an online program to encourage parents and kids to read together this summer.

Hosted by iVillage, the campaign features free literacy-building resources for parents and children. Angela Santomero, creator, executive producer and head writer of the PBS series SUPER WHY! will serve as Challenge Coach and provide daily reading activity assignments, answer parent questions and offer advice throughout the four-week online event running from July 5 to July 30.

The Challenge aims to tap the millions of parents within the iVillage community and arm them with the tools needed to combat summer learning regression.
