Looking to give preschoolers a fun and educational start to their days, Nick Jr. UK is launching a new breakfast programming block.
The two-hour block debuts on Monday, October 5 at 7 a.m., targeting the two-to-five set. It’ll feature a mix of Nick Jr. shows along with five new interstitials set inside an animated world. The interstitials all run under two minutes and aim to get preschoolers to get ready for the upcoming day. The lineup includes: Morning Mini Movers, an aerobic dance class; breakfast cook-along show Yummy Yummy, It’s A New Day that documents UK families’ morning routines; Are You Ready? helps tots to get ready for the day; and Alphabet Romp focuses on a different letter each day, combining poetry with clay animation.
By parental request for a live presenter, Nick Jr. has brought on Laura Hamilton to guide the little ones through their morning routine and encourage them to get active and be involved. There’ll also be a clock in the corner of the screen during shows, to help parents plan their morning routines.
