New York-based Little Airplane Productions will be opening the doors to a new, family-friendly live performance venue on July 12.

Laurie Berkner’s solo performance will open the Little Airplane Café, located at the prodco’s studios at 207 Front Street in the South Street Seaport. The inaugural event will be hosted by Mindy Thomas of The Absolutely Mindy Show and broadcast nationally on Sirius XM Radio’s Kids Place Live, Sirius and XM channel 116.

The café will play host to other family entertainment acts throughout the summer, including kid rock band Milkshake! on July 26, and best-selling children’s author Jon Scieszka on August 9, who’ll read from his works The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.
