Disney XD launch and Aaron Stone sets record ratings

Aaron Stone, the new original anchor series debuted last Friday on fledgling net Disney XD to some impressive ratings, surpassing all series premiers made on its former Toon Disney incarnation with kids six to 14, drawing 303,000 viewers, with boys accounting for 232,000 sets of eyeballs.

The boy-targeted series about a teenager set to become the true version of a legendary crime-fighting game character also premiered simultaneously on Disney Channel, raking in 1.6 million total viewers, as well as 892,000 kids between six and 14. Compared to time period levels from 2008 on Toon Disney, Aaron Stone on Disney XD saw a 208% increase in the six to 14 demo, from 93,000 to a whopping 286,000 viewers, and by 266% in boys in the same age demo. As for total viewers on XD, the show also saw doubled levels from the previous year, from 279,000 to 549,000.
