Teletoon born to be wild?

In the spirit of looking for adventure (not sure about the smoke, lightning or heavy metal thunder, though), Canadian tooncaster Teletoon is hitting the highway this summer, taking a true cross-country road trip in support of its fall schedule. Kids will get a sneak peek at both the net's new slate and its offshoot channel, Retro (launching in October) during the 10-stop tour sponsored by Wonderbread+. The event kicked off in Gatineau, Quebec on July 1 and will head to Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Moncton before wrapping up in Ontario on September 1.

The event kicked-off in Gatineau, Quebec on July 1 and will head to Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Moncton before wrapping up in Ontario on September 1.

Besides offering Teletoon fans a chance to check out the programming, the tour will give them the opportunity to get into the picture with their favourite characters, try out online games and compete in a Teletoon trivia test. And outside of Quebec, kids can engage in activities such as hotdog bowling and square-bagel basketball, thanks to co-sponsors Weston Foods (maker of Wonder+) and media management company PHD.
