California-based Bureau of Magic is producing a series of live-action educational shorts for Amazon based on the Prime Original series Lost in Oz. Produced, written and directed by Bureau of Magic, the shorts delve into STEM ideas from the animated series—including binary systems and the periodic table—and expand upon them.

The five videos are available on X-Ray, Amazon’s interactive experience built into its video players, as well as YouTube and Facebook. Set in the Lost in Oz laboratory and hosted by Ashley Boettcher, the voice of Dorothy Gale on the series, the educational shorts also incorporate clips from the animated series.

The shorts follow the recent debut of a new season of Lost in Oz on June 8, comprised of 13 new episodes available on Prime Video worldwide. The series is a modern adaptation of the Oz books by Frank L. Baum and is created and produced by Bureau of Magic. The producer also recently created an Alexa skill based on the series to keep kids engaged in the animated property between seasons.
