Six month after announcing a That’s So Raven spin-off series was in the works, Disney Channel has officially greenlit family sitcom Raven’s Home.

The series will star Raven-Symone and Anneliese van der Pol, who will reprise their roles as Raven Baxter and Chelsea Daniels from the decade-old original series.

The multicamera comedy series, which will bow later this year on Disney Channel US, will also include new faces like Isaac Brown (Black-ish) and Navia Robinson (Being Mary Jane) as Raven’s 11-year-old twins Booker and Nia. Jason Maybaum (Superstore) is playing Chelsea’s nine-year-old son Levi, and Sky Katz (America’s Got Talent) has been cast as Nia’s best friend Tess.

Raven-Symone is executive producing the spin-off along with writers/producers Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff (Best Friends Whenever, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour).

Aimed at six- to 14-year-olds, the series follows Raven and Chelsea, who are now divorced single mothers raising their separate families. Then, one of Raven’s twins is able to see into the future, which starts to make life a lot more interesting.

That’s So Raven wrapped in January 2006 after 100 episodes. It garnered the highest ratings ever in households with kids ages six to 11 for a Disney Channel original series when it first aired. The series has not lost its luster, and still brings in more than a million total viewers on Disney Channel midnight telecasts.
