Care Bears takes a seat at 1,800 US restaurants

A deal with tech firm E la Carte brings American Greetings content like Care Bears Love to Learn to at-the-table Presto Terminals across the US.

American Greetings Entertainment—the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings—is partnering with tech firm E la Carte to bring branded content to restaurants across the US.

The partnership will bring content like Care Bears Love to Learn to at-the-table Presto Terminals, which are available in more than 1,800 restaurants in the States. The e-commerce system allows diners to pay their bills directly from their tables and play interactive games while they wait for their food to arrive.

Care Bears Love to Learn includes a series of mini-games and puzzles designed to teach children to count, identify shapes and letters, and improve their cognitive and motor skills. Following the January promotion, additional American Greetings interactive content will launch on the platform as E la Carte looks to expand its slate of children’s offerings.

American Greetings has had a strong focus on digital and interactive products since it re-launched the Care Bears brand with the new Netflix original series Care Bears & Cousins last fall.

A number of apps spanning entertainment, interactive storybooks, comic books and games were released last year to coincide with the re-launch. Further mobile games—including the new learning app ASL with Care Bearshave been released this year.
