HarperCollins Children’s Books has acquired global rights to Three Little Monkeys, a picture book collaboration between renowned English author/illustrator Sir Quentin Blake and illustrator Emma Chichester Clark.

Brought to life through Clark’s drawings, Blake’s story follows Hilda Snibbs and three mischievous monkeys that turn her life upside down.

Blake and Clark’s professional relationship traces back to the UK’s prestigious Royal College of Art–where Blake taught for more than two decades–and Three Little Monkeys marks the first collaboration for the pair.

The book deal also places Blake–perhaps best-known for illustrating books written by Roald Dahl–on the HarperCollins Children’s picture book list for the first time.

The book will premiere at next month’s Bologna Book Fair before launching in hardback this fall, where it will be supported by a full-scale marketing and PR campaign.
