Sean Gorman to lead Turner’s UK kids’ channels as director

Sean Gorman has been promoted to director, kids channels, UK at Turner Broadcasting, where he will oversee the development and growth of the channels as well as acquire and commission new local talent.

Sean Gorman has been promoted to director, kids channels, UK at Turner Broadcasting, where he will oversee the development and growth of the channels as well as acquire and commission new local talent.

Gorman will also oversee all on-air creative and promotions.

Gorman has been with Turner for 11 years, holding various posts in presentation and programming, the most recent title being senior programming manager for the UK kids business.

Throughout this year, Turner’s kids’ channels in the UK achieved their best audience performance to date. Cartoon Network is currently the number one pay TV channel for boys ages four to 15 in the UK, with ratings up 60% year on year. Boomerang’s ratings are up 12% year on year and the channel is number one for kids aged four to nine.
