Henry Hugglemonster greenlit for second season

Following its top ratings in the UK, Disney Junior has greenlit Dublin, Ireland-based Brown Bag Films' animated preschool series Henry Hugglemonster for a second season. The new show is expected to create 30 new jobs for Brown Bag's animation studio.

Following its top ratings in the UK, Disney Junior has greenlit Dublin, Ireland-based Brown Bag Films’ animated preschool series Henry Hugglemonster for a second season.

Disney EMEA has announced that production has begun on a new 52 x 11-minute season produced by Brown Bag in partnership with Disney’s London-based production hub. Disney Junior is set to broadcast season two for fall 2014 across more than 150 countries worldwide.

The series, which is based on the popular children’s book I’m a Happy Hugglewug by Irish author/illustrator Niamh Sharkey and published by Walker Books, has drawn more than five million viewers in the UK alone since debuting in February.

Henry Hugglemonster season two is expected to create 30 new jobs for Brown Bag’s animation studio increasing the company’s full-time staff to 150.
