The world’s largest regional theme park company, Six Flags Entertainment, has joined forces with popular US kids music brand Kidz Bop to kick off a live audition tour to determine the next Kidz Bop star.

The Kidz Star USA Talent Search originally launched in 2010, but this year’s version marks the first time the national talent competition for kids and teens ages 15 and under will head to live arenas at 10 participating Six Flags theme parks across the US this summer.

From June, kids looking to enter can submit a 90-second performance video to www.kidzbop.com for a chance to win a recording contract from RCA Records. Videos can be recorded at the live audition tour stops which will also feature interactive activities, live deejays, in-park contests and giveaways.

In addition, fans will be able to view contestants’ auditions and progress on kidzbop.com and the semi-finalists will compete in a series of musical challenges for the grand prize at a special finale event at L.A.’s Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Nearly 50,000 kids entered last year’s competition which saw 15-year-old Dallas Wayde claim victory. Kiana Brown, the winner from 2011, currently has more than 600,000 views on Vevo for her debut single and video, Hey Chica.
