Romania’s RAO Publishing House has snapped up translation rights for the Geronimo Stilton Funny Tales book series in a five-year deal with Milan, Italy-based Atlantyca Entertainment.
Ilaria Cassano of the Foreign Rights Department at Atlantyca brokered the deal with RAO Publishing House director Anca Enculescu.
To date, 74 million copies of Geronimo Stilton books targeting kids ages five to 12 have been sold globally and have been translated into 36 languages and distributed to 150 countries worldwide. Book sales in the US have reached more than $12 million.
