Paris-based prodco Millimages has inked a TV deal with Germany’s KiKA for its new 62 x 11-minute animated preschool series Mouk.

Based on the work of artist Marc Boutavant, directed by François Narboux, and commissioned by France Télévisions and Disney Channel UK, the series will air on KiKA this year.

Mouk follows the adventures of Mouk and his friend Chavapa as they explore the world on their bicycles and send travel updates to Popo and his sister Mita.

The series was originally launched at MIPCOM in 2011. The latest pick-up follows the Millimages deal with Disney to air Mouk on its networks in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Millimages holds international TV and L&M rights to the series.
