New York-based Little Airplane Productions has promoted Tom Brown to VP of production and operations.

Brown has been head of production for Little Airplane since 2004. Since joining Little Airplane in 2002, Brown has overseen the development and production of The Wonder Pets! for Nick Jr., Oobi! for Noggin, 3rd & Bird for Cbeebies and the upcoming Small Potatoes for Cbeebies and Playhouse Disney.

Brown also oversaw the design and construction of Little Airplane’s studio and set up the company’s UK office in 2009 and is responsible for the finance and management of both studios and their employees, including producers, artists, musicians and talent.

In his new role, Brown will be working to build strategic partnerships for Little Airplane and nonprofit division The Little Light Foundation in the areas of sponsorships, publishing, licensing, games, international co-productions and feature films.
