DEALS: Studio 100 broadens Bluey’s retail reach in Germany

Also, My Gym is throwing a worldwide Dora the Explorer event next month, and a new experience based on BBC Earth's Walking with Dinosaurs has launched on Minecraft.

  • Bluey’s German licensing agent, Studio 100 International, has recruited four new regional licensees—personal care and bath item manufacturers Bübchen and Community Brands, and kids snack players Pumpkin Organics and Healthy Kids—to bolster the blue heeler pup’s retail footprint in that market later this year. The Rhein-Center Köln-Weiden mall will also host the brand’s first German shopping center activation in July. Called Fun with Bluey, the experience features meet-and-greet opportunities with characters from the series and other activities for kids. 

 

  • Kids fitness center operator My Gym has teamed up with Nickelodeon to develop a Dora the Explorer activation across its 600 locations worldwide. The event will run throughout July, with instructors taking kids through games, dances and coloring activities themed around Dora, Boots and Diego. Families will also receive a link to stream The Great Dora Fiesta music collection to continue the fun at home with songs from across the franchise’s 25-year history. 

 

  • BBC Earth has partnered with the Minecraft Education team for a third time to launch a free experience in Minecraft based on the BBC Studios dino-drama series Walking with Dinosaurs. Kids take on the role of paleontologists who dig up fossils in the game world of Building with Dinosaurs, using their findings to create displays for three dinosaurs (Spinosaurus, Lusotitan and Triceratops) in the game’s museum.
