A Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood toy range from Jakks Pacific originally set for spring 2014 has been fast-tracked to this fall and will launch exclusively at US Toys ‘R’ Us locations.

The new Toys ‘R’ Us deal with brand owner The Fred Rogers Company and licensing agency Out of the Blue Enterprises will include plush, playsets and collectible figures for kids ages two to four featuring popular characters from the series such as Daniel Tiger, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, Prince Wednesday and O the Owl.

Additional items include a neighborhood trolley that comes with a Daniel Tiger figure, an all-in-one playset with Daniel Tiger and Prince Wednesday figures, Daniel’s Imagination Bungalow Playset, and a 3-in-1 Imagination Treehouse Playset.

Products will be available at Toys ‘R’ Us stores and from Toysrus.com beginning in September. Jakks is the IP’s North American master toy partner.

The latest deal comes on the heels of a new Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing agreement to launch a range of book categories based on the brand starting in January 2014. Other licensees include University Games (games and puzzles) and Toysrus.com and Toys”R”Us Times Square through partner Ty’s Toy Box (personalized t-shirts).

Since it launched in September 2012, Daniel Tiger has been among the top-10 programs across all networks for preschoolers.
