This just in from the European Film Market in Berlin: Pink Parrot Media has sold Elli and Her Monster Team! (81 minutes) to a slew of regional distributors in Europe and the Middle East.

Just Entertainment (Benelux), Bim Distribuzione (Italy), NOS Lusomundo (Portugal), Flins&Piniculas (Spain), GPI (Baltics), Pro Films (Bulgaria), Rocket Releasing (CIS), Forum (Czech Republic/Slovak, Poland, Romania and Israel), MCF Megacom Film (former Yugoslavia), Cinetel (Hungary) and Front Row (Middle East) have all picked up rights to the CG-animated pic, which is a co-pro from Canada’s Carpediem Film & TV and German studios Zooper Film, Dreamin’ Dolphin Film and Traumhaus Studios. 

The movie centers around a ghost who accidentally attracts too much attention from the living world while searching for a new home. She then works with a squad of monsters to restore order in both realms and find the family she always wanted.

Elli and her Monster Team! is based on a German kids book called Elli—Ungeheuer geheim that was first published by Baumhaus Verlag in 2008.

Production is completed, and the film is set to premiere this June in Germany (distributed by Wildbunch) and Canada (distributed by Level Film and Maison 4:3).
