The live event program for Kidscreen Summit 2022 in Miami (February 14 to 17) is now available online. Sessions focused on diversity and social-emotional learning—plus plenty of opportunities for face time with leading buyers—will be on offer to the annual event’s registered attendees.
Key highlights include a deep-dive into social-emotional learning with execs from WarnerMedia, Gaumont and Sesame Workshop; new research from Nickelodeon looking at shifting viewing habits and how to attract multiple kid audiences; and a debate on IP ownership that will see execs from Atomic Cartoons, marblemedia, Sow You and One Animation square off to determine who should get the lion’s share of rights. Building on Kidscreen’s ongoing work to showcase inclusion in the industry, the Diversity is Good Business session will dig into untapped market opportunities that come hand in hand with showcasing better representation. And several studios will explore the ins and outs of real-time game engines, the hottest thing happening right now in animation technology.
Executives from Disney, Nickelodeon, Peacock, WarnerMedia, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Kids+ and Apple TV+ will also be on hand to talk about their buying strategies at the Summit’s popular 30 Minutes with… sessions, and to take one-on-one meetings in a variety of structured networking and pitching formats.
Topping it off, the winners of the 2022 Kidscreen Awards will be unveiled at the event on February 15 in a live ceremony hosted by voice actress and comedian Grey Griffin. This year’s nominees were announced last week.
The agenda for the virtual summit, running online from March 7 to 11, will be available in January.
