L.A.-based JibJab Bros. Studios’ popular digital brand StoryBots is heading to the SVOD world as Netflix Original series, Ask the StoryBots.

Created by JibJab’s Gregg and Evan Spiridellis, the six x half-hour animated/live-action hybrid follows five curious creatures, Beep, Bing, Bang, Boop and Bo, who live in a world underneath digital screens.

The educational and musical series sees the StoryBots journey to the human world to help answer questions from kids, such as “Why is the sky blue?” or “Why do I need to brush my teeth?”

Featuring an all-star voice cast including Judy Greer (Arrested Development, Archer), and guest stars like Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, and Weird Al Yankovic, Ask the StoryBots will be available for streaming in English-speaking markets, including the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, beginning August 12.

After finding success with their JibJab personalized eCard service, the Spiridellis brothers launched the original StoryBots IP in 2012 targeting kids ages three to eight.

Since then, 180 videos, 100 books and a suite of classroom tools and math games have launched. On YouTube alone, Storybots videos have generated more than 300 million views to date.
