With new cast members and the addition of the first-ever Nowhere Girl, popular teen-skewing live-action adventure series Nowhere Boys is back for a third season in Australia.
Filming for the International Emmy-winning series kicked off this week in Melbourne, and season three is slated to air later this year on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s kidsnet ABC3.
Produced by Matchbox Pictures, and financed by Screen Australia, the ABC and Film Victoria, the 13-episode season takes place in the fictional town of Bremina a few years after the epic battle that saw the original cast of Nowhere Boys sacrifice their powers to restore order.
Along with its Emmy win last month, season two of the hit series won a 2016 Kidscreen Award for best non-animated or mixed series. NBCUniversal is on-board as international distributor.
