In its fourth quarter and full-year 2011 sales results, Malibu, California-based toymaker Jakks Pacific’s net sales for the fourth quarter of 2011 dropped from US$198 million (2010) to US$141.1 million, and its net sales for 2011 totalled US$677.8 million, compared to US$747.3 million in 2010.

Jakks president and CEO Stephen Berman said the difficult retail sales environment for toys during the year-end 2011 holiday season contributed to the lower than expected sales, but he expects a rebound in 2012 with help from Jakks’ recently announced agreement with Warner Brothers Consumer Products to create figures and plush of DC Comics Super Heroes and Villains.
