Seasoned animator Jay Surridge has joined Canadian studio Yeti Farm Creative as director and executive in charge of development. Surridge will work alongside Ashley Ramsay, CEO and head of production and business development, and CCO Todd Ramsay as the company’s third partner.

Surridge’s TV animation credits include Transformers: Rescue Bots, Ed, Edd, ‘n’ Eddy and Spaceballs: The Animated Series (which he also directed).

His appointment is timed with Yeti Farm Creative recently moving to a new state-of-the-art building and growing its animation team to more than 60 full-time employees.

Yeti Farm offers production services for Corus, Atomic Cartoons, 9 Story Media, Electronic Arts Canada, Nickeloden and Kickstart Entertainment. The company also currently has two original digital productions in development, Kick Flip (pictured) and Sweet Tweets.

Other industry veterans recently joining the Yeti Farm leadership team include Blair Peters, Lance Priebe and Darren Battersby.
