Disney makes German VOD deal

Broadband VOD is making strides in Germany thanks to T-Com, a division of Deutsche Telekom. Walt Disney's Buena Vista International Television is the latest studio to join the service, having have just closed a multi-year VOD movie rental agreement.

Broadband VOD is making strides in Germany thanks to T-Com, a division of Deutsche Telekom. Walt Disney’s Buena Vista International Television is the latest studio to join the service, having have just closed a multi-year VOD movie rental agreement.

As of today, German customers will be able to access titles from Disney’s extensive film library including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest and Pixar productions Toy Story and Cars. Additionally, classic titles such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea will be available on the HD-ready service.

The movies can be accessed at www.t-online.de/vod or as part of T-Com’s T-Home subscription service. The company now offers more than 1,500 different titles from eight major Hollywood studios.
