Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific has concluded an agreement with ViDeOnline Communications, that gives the House of Mouse an entrée into the Chinese VOD market.

The deal marks Disney’s first VOD agreement with Hong Kong. A range of current and library features from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax Films will be made available on the rent on-demand platform, which launches this month. At the same time, the agreement also allows ViDeOnline to distribute the Disney movies on-demand to Hutchsion broadband customers on a pay-per-view and subscription basis.
