American Greeting Properties has partnered with Mike Young Productions and DQ Entertainment to create a new CGI series based on its Twisted Whiskers property.

Four shorts will go into making each half hour of the planned 26 eps. Two of the shorts will involve longer storylines (approximately 10 minutes) and two shorter stories of about 30 seconds each. Taffy Entertainment has signed on to distribute the series.

Launched in 2001 as a greeting card line, Twisted Whiskers features cats and dogs that are comically contorted. The characters have already made their way onto merchandise including stationery, plush and automotive accessories. And mounting a new multi-demo L&M program is a focus for AGP. The company is currently on the hunt for home video, toy, gift & novelty, collectibles and apparel licensees.
