Mattel has launched the beta version of BarbieGirls.com, a key component of its new Barbie Girls platform that will be revealed in its entirety April 26th. BarbieGirls.com is the toy giant's first-ever global online community designed exclusively for girls.

Mattel has launched the beta version of BarbieGirls.com, a key component of its new Barbie Girls platform that will be revealed in its entirety April 26th.

BarbieGirls.com is the toy giant’s first-ever global online community designed exclusively for girls. Barbie’s first website went live in 2000 and now attracts more than 65 million monthly hits.

The new site features rich-media content including applications that give visitors the ability to customize individual virtual characters and room, shop at malls, play games and chat with other users.
