There’s hope for the universe yet as a second season of DreamWorks Animation’s Voltron: Legendary Defender will hit Netflix later this year.
The Netflix original animated series—featuring five teenagers charged with protecting the universe from evil—confirmed its second season during the show’s panel at this week’s San Diego Comic-Con.
Season two will pick up in the moments following the first season’s finale cliffhanger.
A reboot of the 1980s Voltron show, season one launched on Netflix last month as part of DreamWorks’ expanded global content agreement with the SVOD. The deal also covers streaming rights to DreamWorks’ animated feature film library.
While fans are waiting for the new episodes, a first line of comic books from publishing partner Lion Forge will hit US specialty retail this month. And toys from master toy partner Playmates will be available in spring 2017.
