UK-based Entertainment Rights is turning up its presence in major Latin American territories thanks to a series of broadcast deals just inked with Cartoon Network, The Disney Channel and National Geographic in the region.
Disney Channel Latin America has snapped up the new incarnation of George of the Jungle. It will bow on the channel following its fall launch on Cartoon Network US, Teletoon Canada and Nickelodeon UK.
Meanwhile, Cartoon Network Latin America picked up the all-new Casper Scare School series and movie as well as classic Basil Brush. Several ER TV specials, including Frosty the Snowman and Peter Cottontail – The Movie, were also part of the deal.
Finally, National Geographic Channel Latin America has acquired Pay TV rights to the educational series Cubeez to spearhead its new preschool block Nat Geo y Yo.
ER has also inked several important home video distribution agreements including deals with Zima Kids (Mexico), Focus Filmes (Brazil) and Quality Films (Argentina).
