Reel FX drops the start flag for Nascar preschool series

Tapping into US auto-racing circuit NASCAR's some 75-million member fan base worldwide, Dallas, Texas-based Reel FX Home Entertainment is revving up to take a new Nascar Jr. animated preschool DVD series into production. The edutainment-oriented series is slated for a spring 2009 launch, and will center around five friends who work together to complete missions with the help of their child-sized cars. Original music is also playing a key role in the eps.

Tapping into US auto-racing circuit NASCAR’s some 75-million member fan base worldwide, Dallas, Texas-based Reel FX Home Entertainment is revving up to take a new Nascar Jr. animated preschool DVD series into production. The edutainment-oriented series is slated for a spring 2009 launch, and will center around five friends who work together to complete missions with the help of their child-sized cars. Original music is also playing a key role in the eps.

The DVD series is part of an overall merchandising plan Reel FX has in the works for Nascar Jr. Besides home entertainment, Reel FX is looking to move the brand into publishing, toys and games, apparel, party goods, domestics and health & beauty categories.
