CopCorp has awarded the master toy license for (not so) Scary Monsters to Fisher-Price. The company is now licensed to manufacture and market a wide range of (not so) Scary products for infants and preschoolers throughout the US. The first books and plush products are set to launch in this winter exclusively at Kohl’s department stores across the US.
The UK property featuring a friendly, playful bunch of monsters originated from a line of greeting cards created by London’s Monster Factory. Celador International picked up the rights in 2004 and had worked up a 39 x seven-minute CGI series to showcase the monsters’ charmingly goofy personalities. While the series didn’t come to fruition, the property was launched in at US specialty retail in April at the flagship FAO Schwarz store in New York City.
