April 4, 2016

UK-based CAKE Entertainment has licensed more than 800 episodes of premium kids content to Televisa’s new Latin American SVOD service blim.

Animated programs featured in the deal include reality TV series Total Drama, book-based series Wanda and the Alien, long-running hit Poppy Cat, as well as a homegrown Cartoon Network Latin America comedy Trunk Train (pictured), which is produced by Brazil’s Copa Studio.

Also included in the deal is CBBC live-actioner The Sparticle Mystery.

Just a month-old, blim is currently rolling out across multiple territories in Latin America.

The content agreement follows CAKE’s recent appointment of L&M agents in the UK, Ireland and Australia for its new Netflix, CBBC and Seven Network co-production Bottersnikes and Gumble.
