An inconvenient toon?

Al Gore got tongues wagging with his renowned doc on global climate change and now The International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) and Toon Boom Animation are looking for animators with something to say about global warming. The pair has launched the International Animation Contest for the Web and is inviting toon creators from around the world to submit their shorts (two minutes or less) revolving around the theme. The deadline to enter is September 24, 2007.

Al Gore got tongues wagging with his renowned doc on global climate change and now The International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) and Toon Boom Animation are looking for animators with something to say about global warming. The pair has launched the International Animation Contest for the Web and is inviting toon creators from around the world to submit their shorts (two minutes or less) revolving around the theme. The deadline to enter is September 24, 2007.

The Montreal, Canada-based org is putting together a judging committee to narrow down the field of entrants to 10, with the final flight being put to a public vote. The three shorts that obtain the highest scores will be showcased on Toon Boom’s website and screened in different cities as part of Animation Celebration day on October 28th, 2007. The winners will also receive a gratis copy of Toon Boom Solo software.
