Disney Channel is giving Malaysian kids a little something extra in advance of the broadcast debut of High School Musical 2 in September. In partnership with regional broadcaster Astro, Disney is holding an inter-school dance competition inspired by the original movie musical. Under the banner My School Rocks, kids are being invited to bust out their best HSM dance moves for the first contest of its kind to take place in the Asian country.

From July 16, schools across Malaysia can register at www.disneychannel-asia.com to field a maximum of two student groups between the ages of nine and 16 that will choreograph their own dance routine to the tune of HSM song ‘We’re All in This Together.’

Live auditions will take place in four Malaysian cities throughout August and the winner will be announced during the premiere of High School Musical 2 on September 9 at 7:30 p.m.
