Alphanim’s Zap Jr. High is making its terrestrial TV debut September 2 on M6, and will then take up residence on the French net’s Sunday morning kids block. The 2-D animated Alphanim/M6 co-pro is also making strides on the licensing and international broadcast fronts.

AVRO (the Netherlands) and VRT Belgium have signed up as the first international broadcasters for the 52 x 13-minute series. And on the licensing side, French agent M6 Interactions has just inked a deal with manufacturer Tennessee to develop a line of back-to-school goods for France, including bags, backpacks, pencil cases and stationery. The products should roll out to retail in 2008.

M6, meanwhile, will air two 13-minute eps back-to-back to kick off Zap Jr. High‘s terrestrial launch. (Canal J has been enjoying an exclusive broadcast window for the series since March 2007.) M6’s exclusive ends this coming February, after which the series will air simultaneously on both channels.
