MTV Networks International, parent company of kids broadcast behemoth Nickelodeon, will launch the company’s first-ever pan-European HD service in 2008. The service will carry the company’s full channel lineup, including Nick, MTV and VH1.

A kids’ programming block is slated for daily broadcast each morning and will showcase stalwarts like SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar and live actioner Drake & Josh.

MTVNI’s Emerging Markets Group is overseeing the HD channel and will produce and broadcast 24/7 from its Warsaw hub. The name of the channel and further plans should be announced later this year.
