Pocoyo lands online foothold in the US

Granada Ventures has just cut a deal with US etailer Ty's Toy Box to create an online merch boutique for growing preschool property Pocoyo. Starting November, Pocoyo product will be available on www.tystoybox.com, and Granada is also tapping into Ty's connections with other online portals, such as amazon.com, to further the precocious preschooler's retail reach.

Granada Ventures has just cut a deal with US etailer Ty’s Toy Box to create an online merch boutique for growing preschool property Pocoyo. Starting November, Pocoyo product will be available on www.tystoybox.com, and Granada is also tapping into Ty’s connections with other online portals, such as amazon.com, to further the precocious preschooler’s retail reach.

Ty’s will post a Pocoyo button in the hot brands second of the store’s homepage for a limited time after the initial launch.

The CGI series of the same name, which is already established in the UK and Spain, currently airs in the US on Discovery En Espanol, and will debut on PBS in January. Co-producer Zinkia recently announced a deal with Vodafone Spain to create a mobile Pocoyo channel in the territory.
