HarperCollins Children’s Books and Fisher-Price have teamed up to publish a new line of books for infants and toddlers in the US. The five-year deal should result in the publication of 50 books based on the toyco’s Laugh, Smile & Learn trademark and its Animals of the Rainforest brand.

A number of formats, including board books, flap book, wheel reveal books, stroller books, touch and feel books and photo inserts, are part of HarperCollins plans. The Laugh, Smile & Learn collection aims to teach through everyday experiences, while the Animals of the Rainforest collection will use images from the rainforest to develop cognitive and sensory skills. The first titles should be on the market by January.
