For proof that the Spanish TV market is opening up to non-native kids TV producers and distributors (which KidScreen first noted in our April 07 MIPTV issue), look no further than Taffy Entertainment’s latest deal. The worldwide distribution, brand management and entertainment company has signed an agreement with fledgling Spanish net VEO to create a two-hour Taffy-branded block.

Dubbed Taffy Kids, the block is aimed at the six to 12 set and will air on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Among the Taffy shows headed for Veo are Funky Cops and Wheel Squad.
