Malibu, California’s Jakks Pacific reported a sizeable bump in net sales for the most recent quarter, bringing in US$318.4 million, compared to US$295.8 million recorded in Q3 2006. Net income was also up from US$40.5 million to US$47.3 million.

Jakks has picked up several new master toy licenses in the last two months and it’s not hard to see why. Current properties Hannah Montana, WWE and Pokémon played a large part in driving the most recent sales surge.

The picture for the first nine months is also relatively rosy with net sales ringing in at US$572 million, up from US$527.1 million in 2006.

Jakks’ president and COO Stephen Berman said the company is en route to achieve its previously announced 2007 year-end goal of generating a net income of US$75.8 million on US$800 million in net sales.
