• PBS Kids has launched a website for Out of the Blue Enterprise’s new literacy-driven series Super Why! Visitors to www.pbskids.org/superwhy!.com will find full streaming video of the first ep, interactive character-driven games such as Alpha Pig’s Alpha-Bricks and Princess Presto’s Create-Your-Own-Superhero, and an interface for parents/educators to access Super Why! activities and events.
• EM.Entertainment GmbH has inked a two-year VOD license with glowria GmbH, which will make EM.TV’s well-known kids titles available on the platform in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg.
• The Corporation for Public Broadcasting and PBS have announced plans to launch PBS Kids Raising Readers, a literacy initiative designed to promote literacy skills to children ages two to eight. The effort will include on-air and online content, and a 32-week multi-media preschool curriculum.
