Amid reports that it may be shutting down as many as 122 stores, Pittsfield, Massachusetts-based KB Toys has appointed two new buyers to oversee its merchandising operations.
Nancy Sheridan Mullen and Stephen Mariconda have joined the US mall-based retail chain. Mullen has more than 24 years retail experience with extensive product development and sourcing expertise. She comes to KB from Bed Bath and Beyond, and has also served in buying positions with Party City and Hills department store.
Mariconda returns to KB after working at Binney and Smith, manufacturer of Crayola craft products.
Crafts, activities, fashion and basic doll category buying is now under Mariconda’s purview, while Mullen is heading up purchasing for games, electronics and puzzles.
