Historically the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday descends on Friday and mega-retailer Toys ‘R’ Us is coming out with both barrels blazing to fight for consumer dollars.

The Wayne, New Jersey-based chain has announced it’s offering 101 doorbuster SKUs, boasting savings between 25% and 85% on each item.

Most of the deals will be featured in TRU’s 16-page Thanksgiving weekend circular appearing in newspapers across the US this week. And on Wednesday afternoon, www.Toysrus.com will list the doorcrashers and other deals, with bricks-and-mortar outlets opening their doors at 5 a.m. on Friday morning.

Mass retail competitors, particularly Wal-Mart, have already made their entrée into the now-annual US toy wars, dropping prices as early as late October to kick-start the holiday shopping season.
