As you’re sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner, uber-retailer Wal-Mart has moved on to Christmas, and starting Saturday for the first time ever Santa Claus is making an appearance at more than 3,000 store locations across the US.

Over the next three weekends at Wal-Mart, the retailer estimates that Santa will personally hold an audience with more than 1.6 million children. Additionally, children posing with Santa will receive a free 5 x 7 keepsake photo, taken by a Wal-Mart associate and developed on-site.

Customers can also purchase additional prints of the photo at the store’s digital photo center or order a variety of specialty products that feature the image, including posters, ornaments, Christmas cards, and more than 100 different gift items.
