New York-based toonhouse Animation Collective has named Doug MacLennan as its new COO.
MacLennan steps up from the post of VP of finance for the company, where he oversaw co-production budgets and financing. In his new role, MacLennan is responsible for leading Animation Collective’s corporate strategy and multi-platform initiatives.
MacLennan now reports directly to AC founder and CEO Larry Schwarz, replacing Michael Gold, who left the company to pursue opportunities with an educational software venture.
Prior to joining AC, MacLennan spent seven years with financial giant Merrill Lynch, working in its New York, London and Hong Kong offices.
