Toronto, Canada-based Breakthrough Animation has gotten the go ahead from Canuck net Teletoon and Jetix Europe to start production on Jimmy Two Shoes.

The first season of the 26 x 30-minute 2-D animated series, developed in collaboration with both broadcasters, is scheduled to hit the airwaves in early 2009.

The series follows the missteps of 14-year-old Jimmy, who falls into the weird world of Miseryville – a land designed to torment its inhabitants at every turn.
