Matrix Holdings Limited, an investment holding company, has completed the acquisition announced late last June of Funrise Toy Corporation, an international toy manufacturer and distributor with offices in California, Hong Kong and France.
This is the second major acquisition for Matrix in the US, as the company also acquired infant and preschool toy manufacturers Shelcore Hong Kong and Shelcore Canada in 2005.
As announced in late June, Shelcore and Funrise will remain two separate entities and operate independently under their current management structures.
Founded in 1987, Funrise has a portfolio that includes Gazillion Bubbles, Zoooos, Headbangers and Play ‘n Pretty with licenses from Tonka, Disney and Sesame Street.
