PBS Kids introduces two new faces

PBS Kids is welcoming two new teachers to its preschool destination on May 19. Teacher and actress Jenifer Peña will guide kids through curriculum-based activities and introduce Spanish words and phrases as Miss Rosa, while musician Steve Roslonek will join as music teacher, Mr. Steve.

PBS Kids is welcoming two new teachers to its preschool destination on May 19. Teacher and actress Jenifer Peña will guide kids through curriculum-based activities and introduce Spanish words and phrases as Miss Rosa, while musician Steve Roslonek will join as music teacher, Mr. Steve.

Peña is a Florida-certified teacher with classroom experience, fluent in Spanish, who decided to incorporate her love of teaching with her love of acting. She has had roles in several national commercials, including spots for Sea World and Universal Studios and has appearanceds on several Nickelodeon shows.

This month, PBS Kids Raising Readers will release a bilingual DVD, hosted by Miss Rosa, in 10 cities across the country.
