In an output deal with its Italian agent Planeta Junior, De Agostini Editore has secured the exclusive premiere broadcasting rights to more than 600 episodes of new DreamWorks Animation content for its pay-TV channel DeAKids.

The content will launch from September 2015 on DeAKids (available exclusively on Sky channel 601 in Italy) with the series debuts of All Hail King Julien followed by The Adventures of Puss in Boots.

Planeta Junior, which has managed regional TV, licensing and promotion rights to DWA titles since February 2014, has also acquired the licensing rights for the content across Southern Europe and CEE.

To introduce families to the new series on-air, De Agostini has chosen popular Italian YouTuber Francesco Sole and Italian singer/entertainer Francesco Facchinetti (X Factor) to act as hosts.

Sole will introduce episodes of The Adventures of Puss in Boots and will produce exclusive video content for both DeAKids and for www.supertv.it, the official site for De Agostini’s Super! channel.

For his part, Facchinetti will intro episodes of All Hail King Julien and will also sing the theme song.
